Aston martin, the Ferrari destroyer?

Ferrari has always been known as the gentleman’s car, it is a company that has been every car guys poster car as well a performer on tracks, having wonderful designs and being a great GT car, due to this it had a reputation of being a gentleman’s car until lately when the company has been under constant criticism by people in the car world due to its slow implementations of new policies and slow reaction to changes happening in the car world like coming out with a new SUV, or the Ferrari FUV as they call it, the decision of not going electric and other issues like imposing baseless conditions on customers to test or modify their own cars.

Aston Martin meanwhile is acting smart by reacting to changes rapidly and moving ahead skilfully in the industry by changing their policies, going electric, making great gentleman’s car and pushing the bar higher and higher by making smart decisions time and again. They are competing with Ferrari by launching their own SUV, the DBX which has been approved for 2019 launch and also by entering in the affordable supercar market by working on a new project as the reports suggest and they started out by hiring people from Ferrari, the people that were hired by Aston Martin from Ferrari were head of engineering design, head of power train development and head of innovation and body design.

Aston Martin is trying to compete in the affordable supercar segment to compete with the Ferrari 488 and the McLaren 720s (which they lied about), Aston plans on using the technology from their hypercar Valkyrie which they have developed in association with Red Bull, but they want to achieve this goal by making the technology from the Valkyrie more affordable so that the technology trickles down to more affordable cars that Aston makes thus giving them a “racing DNA” which helps the company to hold its position in the market and show technological competence while also holding a major stake in the market.

This is a major decision for Aston that will steer their company in the right direction and soon it will hold the title of being the gentleman’s car instead of Ferrari, who has not yet responded to changes happening in the industry and the government policies, meanwhile small manufacturer like Ariel has also responded to changes.

HAS FERRARI HEADED IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION? … this is the question I have asked myself quite a few times and also on the blog but the answer always scares me.
